You use it to build a relationship with a (potential) customer, not as an SEO tool. Most SEO's tend to look at social media as an SEO Tool, rather than an engagement tool - which is why most SEO's don't use SM correctly (constantly tweeting their latest blog post). Some would argue that SEO is actually on it's way out, to be replaced by the search tools on the various sites (i.e. search.twitter.com). I don't agree with that-- I think both have their place.
