No, I don&#039;t think those techniques are outdated. 

Sure there are more recent social media techniques that can be used to develop links, and yes checking the follow tag is a good point, but leaving relevant comments on blogs is always going to be useful.

Even if the search engines do not follow the link, the author of the blog is going to check you out and if them deem your site as interesting, they may talk about you or mention you to others. 

As you know the concept of Links building is evolving to Link Marketing, and if your &#039;stuff&#039; is marketable, then the more people that see it and talk about it the better.</description>
