SERPs stands for Search Engine Results Page, it's what you see after you type in a search query into a search engine.

 3. Pay Per Click Ads
 4. Twitter Feed
 5. Video feed from YouTube

Hi Bill

I think you can add product feeds as well from Google Products, which makes it 7 or 8 depending on your inclusion of social media.

thanks

This is so true. Google is becoming so sophisticated in what content it presents to its searchers (which is really rather impressive). The unfortunate thing about it is that most companies don't have the time to keep up with appearing in six feeds... and they don't have the money (or don't want) to pay professionals to take a job as big as this on. I agree though. SEO is important, but concentrating on SEO alone is just narrow minded.

Hi Nick,

Absolutely, SEO has changed and is continuing to change so much. Delivering a pure SEO service is only part of the overall online marketing solution. As I said above, I don't think the term 'SEO' is necessarily doing the industry any favours these days! thanks for the comment.

I think part of the problem is that there are so many definitions to internet marketing that people just don't know what to believe anymore. I think if SEO was just called something different from the beginning it would be easier to explain and understand.
